FALCONS AT FULL STRENGTH!
KEATING EXONERATED ON STRIKING CHARGE
Posted 23rd March 2007

In what could be described as a rollercoaster week for back rower Matt Keating, he has now been cleared to play in this week’s home game opener for the Caloundra RSL falcon’s A Grade team.

After a phone hook up last night to discuss fresh evidence via new video footage, Keating had his charged dismissed. The QRL is now looking at the incident in a different light and may consider citing the opposition player involved in the tackle.

“The new footage clearly showed that Matt had been provoked into striking out. He only retaliated in response to an illegal act from the opposition player,” advised outgoing Falcons CEO Geoff Stevens.

Stevens went on to add. “Having Matt back in the side is a great boost to Saturday night’s game as we had originally thought he was out after being suspended earlier in the week. It’s great to see justice prevail.”

All the action starts at 5pm with the Colts and the A Grade action continues at 6.15pm under lights this Saturday night at Quad Park. With the local support the Falcon’s will certainly fly!
