OBJECTIVE
To attract players to remain on the Sunshine Coast by giving them an opportunity to compete in a quality Rugby League competition thus opening pathways for their future careers in Rugby League, while providing a level of play and an atmosphere that will attract supporters to the game and continuing to maintain a competitive local competition.
THE FOGS CUP
The competition has been conducted over the last ten (10) years in its current format and under the sponsorship name of ‘Mixwell’ for the last three years.
This Brisbane competition changed its traditional format to include teams from outside the Brisbane area to become the premier competition in South East Queensland.
It is an ongoing goal to expand the competition to ensure its long-term sustainability and growth. The strength of the competition allows up and coming players to compete in a more competitive stream and provides them with an opportunity to experience elite levels of Rugby League as they strive to reach their maximum capabilities within the sport.
The FOGS Cup is a South-East Queensland based competition comprising of A-Grade and Colt teams, directly below the Queensland Rugby League Wizard Cup – Queensland’s premier first grade competition (televised on ABC Television).
